- Chocolate & Dairy: 400 g (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, 340 g (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips, 60 g (4 tbsp) unsalted butter cut into pieces
- Flavoring: 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Optional Add-Ins: 60 g (½ cup) chopped walnuts or pecans (optional), Pinch of sea salt (optional for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Line a 20 cm (8-inch) square baking pan with parchment paper leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Step 2:
- In a medium saucepan over low heat combine the sweetened condensed milk chocolate chips and butter. Stir constantly until the chocolate and butter are melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Step 3:
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Fold in nuts if using.
- Step 4:
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Step 5:
- If desired sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top.
- Step 6:
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
- Step 7:
- Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into 24 squares and serve.
